As part of the communal aspect of eating and sharing harvests, I have begun to develop the maps into plates. This is still a nascent idea but one that I feel really extends the ideas around researching urban agriculture as a cultural practice alongside the productive aspect. Shown here, are three plates produced as part of the Central Newcastle walk, 2015, as well as a new plate produced to celebrate the urban wheat harvest, Shieldfield, 2020.
